Young Juvenile Youth sings us a sweet electro melody full of wispy dreams and futuristic imaginings. The duo is made up of song writer, vocalist, and lyricist Yuki Matsuda and composer, engineer, and programmer JEMAPUR. Together they construct synth soundscapes that blend soft pop sounds with Yuki’s quietly sweet voice. Perhaps the closest comparison we can make is the French electro duo, Air. Unlike Air, the sounds are slightly more lucid as if anchored partly in reality and partly in an electronic dream.
Young Juvenile Youth are attempting to explore new ways of making music that fill up a hole they perceive in Japan’s current scene. They further describe their music as using open expression that is not subject to restriction.
